DOG BLOOD PLAYS EPIC COACHELLA SET WEEKEND 1

DOG BLOOD PLAYS EPIC SET AT COACHELLA (WEEKEND 1)

MSN

“There were no parents to be spotted in the dance tent for the performance of Dog Blood, the union of dubstep king Skrillex and German house DJ Boys Noize. Coming out onstage to a repeated sample of “throw your middle finger if you feel me,” the duo spun tracks far from the uplifting and bouncy beats of more radio-friendly EDM artists. The hourlong set, received rapturously by many in an overflow crowd in the Sahara tent, featured hyper-aggressive, almost sinister music. Two different in-set stylistic breakdowns showcased the duo’s individual works, with hip-hop remixes representing Skrillex and metal-like tracks coming from Boys Noize, all while visuals, like a smiley-face with blood gushing from a bullet wound, displayed on screens behind the DJ setup. Far from music for the table service crowd, Skrillex and Boys Noize delivered a mix for moshing.”
