Strip Steve’s new EP “Crowd Control” is strictly set for clubs!

If one might say the french Dj/Producer has lured his previous album Micro Mega into half-tempo or Pop,

his intentions are clear on this one: Getting Mean.

The result is a raw & simple 4-track EP, mainly focused on rhythms perfectly mixable into any type of playlist.

The opening track “The Funktion”  welcomes us into a retro-styled houseparty, set in a futuristic dystopian world.

With only drums & toms, the gimmick is reminiscent of the colder Strip Steve record “Calcium”, yet always remaining funky.

Putting it in Strip Steve’s words: “If Prince free-styled on a Linn Drum in a rave in 2025, this is what it would sound like.”

“The Other Side Of Time” is claimed as colder house or warmer techno, either way you might see it, it is a lighter addition to this release.

Whereas the B-side start’s off with a raw tool, influenced by Comeme, L.I.E.S & Roulé.

“I Bump My Head :( ”  tells us the absurd and repetitive tale of a man who – bumped his head! Seeming quite indecisive how to respond to it.

“Work!”  at last, represents a slightly deeper cut on the record, in the spirit of Moodyman; MCDE or Soundstream, which urges us to ..Work!
