We assembled a pair of blistering new remix EPs to drop in February and March 2024. Each one features reworks of Pilo's ‘X’ EP on the label, originally released a year ago in March 2023, with a mix of vital artists such as Moby, Mac Declos, Maude Vos & Marie Nyx, Schacke, Taube, Unklevon, James Bangura and DJ Angeldu$t all revisiting the four-tracker in a split two-part EP drop. The first remix EP kicks off with French artist Mac Declos, renowned for his cross-pollinating electronic styles. His version of Boys Noize & Pilo feat. DEEVIOUS's 'Pvssy' is a high-speed, scuffed-up techno pumper with darkly seductive vocals. Declos is then followed by a remix from Maude Vôs and Marie Nyx, co-founders of LA's Delusional Records, a community with a vision to uplift underrepresented artists and offer a creative space to female, LGBTQIA+, nonbinary and BIPOC artists. They infuse Pilo feat. Deuce’s Hurt's 'Day One' with a raw sense of energy destined to enliven any party. Up next, the mastermind behind classics on Kulør and Kisloty Schacke brings his signature synth and drum intensity for his rework of Pilo & John Bryars’ 'Devotion'. Closing out the first EP is Taube, a Berlin techno and Boysnoize Records mainstay with real expertise in modular synthesis. He reimagines Pilo feat. Baseck & Connor Musarra's 'X' via thrilling synth arps and explosive drops full of modern hard techno bounce. The second EP begins with Moby, needing no introduction as one of pop and dance music's most celebrated names, who turns 'Devotion' into a dark techno stomper. Boysnoize Records regular and French techno favourite Unklevon then returns to the label with his remix of the same track, a twitchy electro workout with edgy stabs and wried basslines. Part of the second instalment, 3024, MisterSaturdayNight artist and co-founder of Black Rave Culture James Bangura remixes 'Day One' with style, layering up infectious breakbeats and twisted basslines that drill down deep into the underworld. Last but not least is DJ Angeldu$t, whose ‘Blown Ovt’ Remix of 'Pvssy' is a wall of textured techno intensity driven by huge kicks and warped synth lines that bring the funk. These are two action-packed EPs from some of the most crucial creative talents in the underground.
